Super Massive to support Pinky Beecroft (Machine Gun Fellatio) at Crowbar, Brisbane on Friday 7 August

Glenn's good buddy and Machine Gun Fellatio bandmate, Pinky Beecroft, has asked us to be his special guests for the Brisbane launch of his beautiful new country and trip hop infused solo album, Lonesome Wolf, at Crowbar on Ann Street in The Valley on Friday 7 August.

We are so thrilled Pinky has asked us to support him on the Brisbane leg of his national tour.

Pinky doesn't hit the road all that often, but he has three singles out at the moment for the first time in 17 years (or as he says, 200 years..... ha ha) – A catchy gem called Band of Gold, a gorgeously bittersweet cover of Ben Salter's My Heart Is In The Wrong Place and a heart-breakingly beautiful track called I'll Be Alright, co-written with Maree Hawker aka Widow Jones from MGF. Those of you who were at Black Bear Lodge back in March will know that Pinky's last show in Brisbane was an utterly magnetic, brilliant night. He and the band rocked hard, soft and everything in between. This is going to be the first time Super Massive has ever played with Pinky! We can't wait to be a part of what's sure to be another amazing evening with the magnificent Pinky B.

We'll be playing a couple of new songs too – we've been working on some new ones that we LOVE (more about that on another blog post to come) and can't wait to share live, and since it's been two years since our last gig, we are seriously champing at the bit to unleashing some cracking funk and dance rock goodness, annointing the Brisbane air with some spirit-lifting, body-moving good time vibes.

Doors open 7pm. We'll be up first – don't be late ! Then Pinky is playing two sets.
