We are ecstatic to welcome highly-regarded and super-talented Gold Coast-based bassplayer Chris Gilbert to our Super Massive soiree. Chris has been playing with Kevin Borich Express and recently recorded an album with Kevin featuring an incredible line up of Australian front people – Russell Morris, Leo Sayer, Suze DeMarchi, Joe Walsh, Ian Moss, Tim Rogers, Ella Hooper, Angry Anderson, Joe Camilleri, Ross Wilson, Angela Fabian and John Swan. (Wowsers!)
Chris has been recording some delectably funky basslines for us and will be playing live with us too, starting with a Gold Coast show at the Wallaby Hotel next Thursday 15 August.
It is such a thrill to be playing as a 4-piece again!!! It is amazing to hear Chris locking in with Glenn – that delicious, fat, funky bass bringing our rhythm section back to life, sounding the way it should.
