New single - 'Caught In A Web"

Updated: Nov 19

We have a new single out today! Our summery banger Caught In A Web is finally out into the world. Hope you love it as much as we do.

We've been looking forward to getting this song out for a while because it's been one of the highlights of our live set in recent years.

Lyrically, Caught In A Web is about the invisible ties that connect people in the context of this digital age we're living in, where the internet is fused with daily life and reality is wrestling with virtual menaces and mirages. Malina likes to think of it as an upbeat siren song. A digital-age fable.

Musically, it's beachy and summery and there's lots of squelching synths. It sounds very electro but Glenn recorded real drums on it – his trademark toms and whip-fast fills and cymbals, as well as cracking percussion. The song breaks out into a pumping electro-surf rock chorus and it has a rollercoaster build and whalloping drop that we hope you find satisfying :)

Caught In A Web is out today on Bandcamp and all online music distributors and streaming services.

If you'd like to throw your support behind us, the best way to do that is to buy a download from our Bandcamp page. You'll get a CD-quality wav file (or choice of other files including MP3), unlimited streaming through the Bandcamp app (where you'll find lots of interesting music from other creative indie artists) and your purchase there will count towards the ARIA and independent Australian (AIR) Charts.

Here are the links for Apple Music and Spotify if you'd rather save it to your library there.

There are some people we'd like to thank who were involved in this release.

We were fortunate to have some amazing engineers work on the song. It was mixed and mastered by two of the best in the country:

Daniel Denholm mixed the song and Michael Lynch mastered it. Between them, these two guys have worked on countless ARIA-Award winning records for huge names like Sia, Powderfinger, INXS, Kylie Minogue, Silverchair, Midnight Oil, Endorphin, Something For Kate, Jimmy Barnes, John Butler Trio and more. We are thrilled with how it sounds. The production is amazing. Crystal clear. Big thanks to Daniel and Michael for doing such a great job polishing the song for us and elevating our music to a new level.

The fantastic cover image was created by the talented XRay Doll team, Wassim Bazzi and photographer Chrissie Hall, with makeup by Glitta Supernova. Love working with these guys! We want to thank them for their creative wizardry.

Lots of love, and thanks for your support! Happy listening!
